2023 COMMUNITY BETTER CHALLENGE

In partnership with ParticipACTION's Community Better Challenge and Tyndale St. Georges Community Centre, we delivered a series of tennis sessions in Little Burgundy, Montreal! Over 70 participants were engaged in physical activities for a total of nearly 5000 minutes!  Thank you to everyone involved, we hope that you worked up a good sweat - keep active!

This event was made possible due to the generous support of ParticipACTION's Community Better Challenge funded by the Government of Canada.

2022 COMMUNITY BETTER CHALLENGE

On June 11, 2022, in partnership with ParticipACTION's Community Better Challenge and Teen Haven, we introduced young people to the game of beach volleyball in Montreal! The weather was great and the participants were game! In less than one hour of training, we were playing matches!!! Well done Teen Haven youth. Stay active and we will see you soon!

2021 COMMUNITY BETTER CHALLENGE

Join Change Through Sport from June 1 - June 30 2021 and win prizes for completing our fitness and volleyball challenges! 

 

1. Weekly Fitness Challenge 

To enter the challenge and be eligible to win prizes:

  1. Complete the application form

  2. Send an email to keepup@changethroughsportcanada.com with the total number of minutes spent completing the challenge and attach a photo of you doing the challenge by the deadline of every week.

We will post our Fitness Challenges on Change Through Sport official instagram account (@changethroughsport) and on this page throughout the month of June.  Visit us every week to find out about the next challenge!

Week 1 - COMPLETED:

  • Fitness Challenge: 30 Burpees or more!!! 

  • Deadline for submission: June 6 2021 by 11:59 PM EST

  • Winners: Tammy A. and Jordon C.

Week 2 - COMPLETED:

  • Fitness Challenge: 30 min (or more) of walking / running

  • Deadline for submission: June 13 2021 by 11:59 PM EST

  • Winners: Jordon C. and Sabrina C.

Week 3 - COMPLETED:

  • Fitness Challenge: 30 min (or more) of any physical activity

  • Deadline for submission: June 20 2021 by 11:59 PM EST

  • Winner: Billy H.

Week 4 - COMPLETED:

  • Fitness Challenge: 60 min (or more) of any physical activity

  • Deadline for submission: June 27 2021 by 11:59 PM EST

  • Winner: Wai L.

2. Volleyball Video - Keep Up Challenge

 

To enter the challenge and be eligible to win prizes:

  1. If you haven't already, complete the application form

  2. Send your best keep up video to keepup@changethroughsportcanada.com along with total minutes spent completing challenge - including practice time!

  3. DEADLINE EXTENDED: Submit your video and minutes by June 30, 2021 11:59 PM EST

  4. The top 5 videos from our Rexdale Youth and top 5 videos from the general public will be selected by a panel of Change Through Sport judges for public voting.

  5. Public voting will take place from July 5-9, 2021 through the instagram account of Change Through Sport (@changethroughsport)

  6. 1 winner from each category (Rexdale Youth and general public) will be declared by Change Through Sport after July 10, 2021.

Volleyball Keep Up Challenge - VOTING OPEN:

  • View submissions and vote!

  • Deadline for voting: July 22 2021 by 11:59 PM EST

  • Submissions closed (deadline June 30 2021 by 11:59 PM EST)

Change Through Sport (CTS) is proud to present the Keep Up with Rexdale challenge in partnership with the ParticipACTION Community Better Challenge. The Community Better Challenge is a national physical activity initiative that encourages Canadians to get active in search of Canada’s Most Active Community. From June 1 – 30, 2021 ParticipACTION is asking Canadians to get active and track their physical activity minutes in an effort for their community to be recognized as one that champions active living.
