We made Canadian history again. On October 17, 2021, we wrapped up the augural partnership with a sighted tennis club. This marks the first integration between a blind and visually impaired tennis group with a sighted tennis community in Canada!

On behalf of our Change Through Sport and its Toronto Blind Tennis program, we would like to thank the Iroquois Tennis Club (ITC) and their president, Yew M. H., for hosting and welcoming our blind and visually impaired players. We would also like to recognize one of our longstanding players, Yang W., for initiating this collaboration. Thank you for reaching out to ITC and putting us on this new path. We also would like to thank our players for participating and committing to the summer sessions. You are paving the way for others to follow!  Last but not least, we also would like to thank our volunteers for joining us in this new partnership and, of course, our program director, Jerome C., for organizing all the on-court activities, equipment, pick-up logistics, volunteer coordination and the scheduling! You are a man of action.

Thank you everyone for your commitment over this summer. Without all of you, this collaboration would not have been possible. We look forward to the next outdoor season. Please stay tuned for Toronto Blind Tennis news for the winter season!
